Alia Bhatt is cherishing the success of her films Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani as well as Heart Of Stone. While the former was released on 28 July, Heart Of Stone was recently released on Netflix and is receiving positive response from Alia’s fans and followers. Heart Of Stone marks Alia Bhatt’s Hollywood debut alongside Gal Gadot and Jamir Dornan.
Alia Bhatt reveals she was auditioning for the role of young Ranu Mukerji
During the promotion of Heart Of Stone, the actress spoke about her first meeting with Ranbir Kapoor. Speaking of those days, Ranbir Kapoor was working as an assistant to the ace director Sanjay Leela Bhansali for the film ‘Black’. During that time, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor crossed paths with each other as ‘Rani’ had come to audition for the role of young Rani Mukerji.
Quoting ETimes, Alia said, “I was auditioning for a young Rani Mukerji. I didn’t get it obviously because I am not in the film. But fun fact it was the first time I also met my now husband (Ranbir Kapoor).”
Speaking of the film ‘Black’, it was released in 2005 and starred Rani Mukerji and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead. Released in 2022, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor were seen together onscreen for Brahmastra: Part 1 – Shiva. After this, the two tied the knot in April in the same year. In 2022 itself, the Bollywood couple was blessed with a daughter and named her ‘Raha’.

Recently seen in Heart Of Stone, the film is directed by Tom Harper and is an action-packed entertainer starring your favorite Hollywood stars – Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan. Alia has played the character of an antagonist in the film and has told Netflix that she loved playing the role. The actress also impressed everyone with her fabulous acting in Karan Johar directorial Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.
After the success of Heart Of Stone and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Alia is coming up in Jee Le Zara. She will star alongside Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Katrina Kaif in the Farhan Akhtar-directed craft.
