Several stars from the 90s era have been making a comeback to movies and series lately. While Karisma Kapoor returned onscreen with the Motherhood series, Manisha Koirala with Shehzada, Raveena Tandon with Aranyak. Similarly, also actor Sonali Bendre also made a banging comeback with The Broken News web series. Having said that, there’s a rise of the 90s actresses and people enjoyed it to the fullest. On the same note, Sonali discussed the rise, saying they are getting the opportunity now that was not given earlier.

Sonali Bendre on comeback of 90s actresses

Sonali exclusively told Bollywood Bubble, “I would say that is because we’ve been given the opportunity earlier that opportunity was not there. With OTT platforms, multiplexers, and different kinds of stories being told, suddenly there is a Niche. There’s a place where stories of different kinds can be told and that’s the reason why were able to reinvent. I’m sure women actors working before the 90s also would have loved to have done that but those stories were not being told. So, I think it’s a matter of the timing and the way the opportunities that are available to us and we’re making good of that.”

When asked if she is content with the new change, the Duplicate actor said she is happy with the change. She said, “I think there’s a long way to go still but it’s the beginning. I’m happy that the beginning has happened.

In the same interview, Sonali also opened up about her son’s battle with Asthma. She also recalled the time when she saw her kid go through that every time he had an attack.
