Deepika Padukone and Prabhas starrer Kalki 2898 AD is one of the highly-anticipated films of 2024. In July, the makers gave a glimpse into the world of Prabhas and Deepika Padukone starrer. The Nag Ashwin directorial is slated to release on 12th January, 2024. However, for the past few days, there have been reports of Kalki 2898 AD getting postponed. Now, in a recent interview, Nag Ashwin was asked about the rumours. The director neither denied nor confirmed the same.

Nag Ashwin spills the beans on Kalki 2898 AD

If reports are to be believed, Prabhas’s film’s release has been pushed to May 9, 2024. Speaking with News18, Nag Ashwin addressed the rumours and said, “I’ll have to check the horoscopes and a few constellation and we’ll know then.”

During the same interview, Nag Ashwin also revealed that there’s still a bit of shoot left for Kalki 2898 AD. The filmmaker revealed, “There’s still a little bit of shoot left and I’ll be going back to filming, so my headspace is presently back to that.”

Prabhas will be seen in a never-seen-before avatar in Kalki 2898 AD. So, when asked Nag Ashwin what can Prabhas fans expect, the director revealed, “By now they’ll expect a new world, and beyond that, I don’t think they can expect anything because they’ll have to watch the movie for that. But it’ll be an experience.”

Prabhas and Deepika’s film’s first look was unveiled at San Diego Comic Con event. It had received a good response from the netizens.

The upcoming science fiction film also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Disha Patani. It is produced by C. Aswani Dutt under Vijayanthi Movies.
