OMG 2 and Gadar 2 box office estimates

As per industry tracker Sacnilk, Gadar 2 witnessed an afternoon occupancy rate of 53.1 per cent, while OMG 2 saw an occupancy rate of 46.86 per cent. The early estimates suggest that the Akshay Kumar starrer film on sex education will earn around Rs 9.50 crore, while Sunny Deol’s massy actioner, which took a bumper start at the box office, will collect between Rs 40-43 crore on its first day.

With both the films garnering great responses from their target audiences, we can expect great footfalls in the cinema halls this weekend. While OMG 2 has the potential to earn around Rs 35-40 crore in its first weekend, the Anil Sharma directorial has all the chances to enter the Rs 100 crore club in its first three days at the box office.

Bollywood Bubble gave OMG 2 3.5/5 stars. A part of the review read, “If you’re looking forward to watching an entertaining film that also talks about a very important social message then OMG 2 is the right choice for you!”

Meanwhile, we rated Gadar 2 1.5/5. A part of the review read, “Gadar 2 starring Sunny Deol is outmoded and offers nothing new. The movie lacks logic and seems too overdramatic. The constant Hindu-Muslim war or debate or the Indo-Pak reference gets a little too much, it like Anil Sharma seems to have overstretched the topic. But to sum it up, it is not a Sunny Deol movie, his onscreen son Jeete aka Utkarsh Sharma takes the movie forward.”
