Earlier this month, reports surfaced online that Prabhas starrer Salaar: Part 1- Ceasefire has been postponed. The makers chose not to comment on the subject at that time amid all the Jawan craze. Now, they have finally made the postponement official with a statement.

Prabhas starrer Salaar POSTPONED

On Wednesday, Hombale Films, the production company behind Salaar, released an official statement confirming the film’s delay. In the statement, they also explained the reason behind pushing the release date. The delay has occurred to meet the highest standards and give an unforgettable experience to the audience.

The statement read, “We deeply appreciate your unwavering support for #Salaar. With consideration, we must delay the original September 28 release due to unforeseen circumstances. Please understand this decision is made with care, as we’re committed to delivering an exceptional cinematic experience. Our team is working tirelessly to meet the highest standards. The new release date will be revealed in due course. Stay with us as we make the final touches on #SalaarCeaseFire and thank you for being a part of this incredible journey.”

Salaar original release plan

The Prabhas starrer was originally supposed to release on September 28, pan-India. On the said date, the film would have clashed with Vivek Agnihotri’s The Vaccine War and the comedy Fukrey 3. It was going to be the first big budget film to come after Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan. With it’s postponement, Jawan gets a much bigger window to keep the cash registers ringing.

While the makers haven’t confirmed a new date, as per reports, the new release date will be in November. In case that happens, it would be around another biggie, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Tiger 3. As for Salaar, the film also stars Shruti Haasan opposite Prabhas and is directed by Prashanth Neel.
