Salman Khan is one of the biggest stars in the country and almost everyone in Bollywood wants to collaborate with him. With millions of fans, every project Khan is associated with becomes a much-talked-about topic, and the same was evident when news of Salman and Karan Johar collaborating on The Bull made headlines. 

This film – which would mark the reunion of Khan and KJo after 25 years, would be directed by Vishnuvardhan. However, a report now states that Salman has backed out of the film due to production delays. Read on to know more about it and whether Bhaijaan may do it in the future. 

Salman Khan exits Karan Johar’s The Bull?

As per a recent Bollywood Hungama report, The Bull was initially slated to go on floors in November 2023, but got delayed to January then February, and subsequently then May. After several rounds of discussion, Karan Johar requested Salman Khan for more time till July, and that’s when Khan decided to put his untitled film with Sajid Nadiadwala on the forefront. While Sajid’s film is set to go on floors in May 2024, Karan was targeting November 2024 to take The Bull on floors.

A source informed the portal, “After a lot of back and forth on the dates, Karan and Vishnuvardhan were still not able to commit to the exact timelines of the shoot. That’s when Salman conveyed his decision to back out from the project. Salman politely informed his decision to Karan.” The insider revealed Salman blamed destiny for constant delays in the project. A bystander told the portal, “Bhai said, ‘Destiny doesn’t want this film to happen, so let’s move on.’ Karan is exploring newer ideas for a collaboration with Salman.”

Salman Khan to return to the film in future? 

The report further noted that Karan Johar understood Salman Khan’s point of view. Revealing the future of The Bull, the source added, “He might give another try to make Bull a reality but at the moment, the army film is shelved from Salman’s end. If Karan can commit to a certain timeline on paper, he might come back and try his luck to relaunch the project.” 

The source added that Salman has started reading more scripts. He has reportedly also called his producer and director friends asking them to come up with more scripts for the timeline of November to May.
