The storm of Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan has taken over the world and there are no survivors. From industry people to layman, everyone has bowed down to SRK’s supremacy. The numbers at the box office are speaking for itself but even the reviews of Jawan have been exemplary. And seems like the positive word-of-mouth has impacted the box office numbers too.
Jawan Day 2 advance booking
By 6 AM on September 7, Jawan had sold tickets worth Rs 6 crores in advance booking for Day 2. But with the raving reviews the film received, the excitement for the film grew exponentially. It resulted in a massive spike of 266% as now the film has sold tickets worth Rs 22 crores in pre-sale. This massive growth happened in a span of less than 24 hours showing the impact of the good reviews. As for Day 1, Jawan collected a record Rs 129.6 crores at the box office worldwide. It is the highest collection ever recorded for a Hindi film.
The Day 1 advance booking was Rs 41 crores but a dip was expected on Day 2 as it is a working Friday. But still the numbers are quite impressive. As for the review part, at Bollywood Bubble, we gave Jawan 4 stars out of 5. A part of the review read, “There are many reasons why one should watch a film like Jawan but the biggest one has to be the magic of Shah Rukh Khan. There’s just something about that man that makes you feel each and every emotion so purely... Jawan is that mass entertainer we were all waiting for.”
The film stars SRK alongside Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi, who both mark their Hindi theatrical debut with the film. It also features Deepika Padukone in a special role, along with Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Sunil Grover and Ridhi Dogra. The Atlee directorial has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year and it lives up to the hype.
