Rashmika Mandanna announces The Grilfriend
On Sunday morning, Rashmika took to Instagram to drop the announcemnet video of her next titled The Girlfriend. The film is a Telugu thriller and tells a unique love story. The voice over in the video suggests that the story is going to be about an obsessive lover. The dialogues have an eeriness in them as the male voice says he wants a girlfriend who he can call ‘MINE’.
But what strikes out the most is Rashmika’s look in the video. The actress is underwater in the video, donning a smile. But as the time passes, the smile changes into a frown to a point where she can’t breathe. The emotions depicted by Rashmika in this small clip just speak volume of her skills.

Announcing her 24th film, Rashmika wrote, “The world is full of great love stories… But there are those few love stories that haven’t been heard or seen before… And ‘The Girlfriend’ is one such.” Principal photography for the film will be commencing soon. Allu Aravind is presenting the film while Rahul Ravindran is directing it.

The actress has some interesting projects in her kitty currently. First up is the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal, whose teaser was released recently. Rashmika has garnered praise for her look in the film. Post that, she is also rumoured to be a part of Vicky Kaushal starrer Chhava. She is reprising her role of Srivalli in Pushpa: The Rule as well.
