Photographers are always on their toes, clicking stars and keeping their fans updated about them. Shahid Kapoor, who enjoys huge popularity and is often spotted in the city, recently opened up about the paparazzi culture in India. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Shahid got candid as he shared that when he became an actor, he wasn’t clicked all the time. However, things are different now.
Here’s what Shahid Kapoor said…
Talking about the paparazzi culture, Shahid said, “No, we didn’t sign up for it. I have been doing this for 20 years and maybe the kids who are doing it for 7-8 years they knew what was coming. When I became an actor, we were not papped all the time. There was no paparazzi culture in India at that time. You would go to an event and that’s where you’d be papped. Or you would be somewhere and someone will try and take a photo but it was not like whenever you step out of your house, you have to be ready to be photographed. So, that is something that was a later development. It was not there in my time.”
Shahid is a doting father to his two kids – daughter Misha and son Zain. When asked about keeping his kids away from being clicked, Shahid said, “I must say that the paps have been good. I request them that I’ll stand separately and give you a picture just don’t take a picture of me and my kids walking out of the airport. I request them like that and thankfully they’ve agreed so I’m very thankful that they have that sensitivity.”
Shahid and Mira tied the knot in 2015. The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Misha in 2016, and son Zain in 2018. They are rarely spotted in the city. On the other hand, Shahid and Mira rarely post pictures of their kids on social media as well.
On the work front, Shahid will be seen in Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bloody Daddy. Bloody Daddy is slated to release on 9th June on Jio Cinema.
